How precise can a version number be?

Today I've done some statistical analysis on Debian "Packages" files of lenny and sid, just casuall located:

$ time max-version-len.py
Package: rt73-modules-2.6.25-2-486
Version: 2.6.25+1.0.3.6-cvs20080623-dfsg1-3
 len: 44

real    0m3.219s
user    0m2.948s
sys    0m0.124s

I don't know which package would be the top 1, if we select all non-"-dfsg" version numbers and add a pseudo "-dfsg1"... :o) Version numbers with more than 40 characters are very... precise.

You blog, they blog, Normy blog?

Very foolish: all of my past postings are done after some Drupal upgrades on my system.

Let's see what is going on through my change to the "Debian way of Drupal".

So I've got to manage only this installation and a few other of Drupal instances on my server the same way and updates need to be installed only once.

The time will tell.

Slave DNS of Heise/IX "NiX Spam" DNS-Blacklist

Today I decided spontaneously to follow the request of help and sponser my free ressources.
The normes.org DNS is now an official slave of this DNSBL:

Edit:
*duh* both posts today == first post after 6 month...

I'm done!

All my exams are done and I've received my results after my presentation of my project work: 86 %
That's not bad at all, but I had been better :o)

Since Thu 21. Jun 12:15 CEST 2007 you can call me "Fachinformatiker FR Systemintegration" (e.g. "IT Specialist: systemintegration"). No more sitting in boring lessons at school!
Finally I'm employed at VRG - Vereinigte Rechenzentren GmbH.

Now I have to plan my spare time:

  • more bloggin' on my page
  • Finish LPI Level-1 certification (101 exam already passed on CeBIT 2007, Hannover)
  • More working on Debian, starting NM process (maybe working on netconf and/or QA...)
  • Finish LPI Level-2 certification ;o)

... and many other minor things.
